Over the past year, we have been collecting proposal stories from real-life couples, like Lisa and Chuck pictured above, across the country. “On a particularly hot June afternoon, we were working in the garden when Chuck ducked inside and reappeared a few moments later with his hair combed and his hands clean. He tuned the iPod to Amos Lee’s “Sweet Pea” and asked me to dance . . . In the middle of the song, he dropped down on one knee, pulled out a beautiful ring, and asked me to dance all my dances with him.” Need more inspiration? Can you guess where these two lovebirds got engaged? At the exact same spot where they had their first dinner date along Laguna Beach, including a dip fully-dressed in the sea! “Golden light was one of the most important aspects of our engagement session,” Tawny said. “We wanted a place with beautiful views [of Trojan Point in Marin headlands].” Before the engagement session began, “we stopped at a local grocery store to pick up some ice cream and chowed down on it while walking hand in hand together,” she said. Can you guess where these two lovebirds got engaged? After browsing through the farm’s gift store for a few short (but long) minutes, William rushed Jocelyn outside toward the largest Christmas tree on the property. “Umm, I don’t think the little ones are going to be in with the big ones,” she said. “What do you think of this one?” as he pointed to a smaller Christmas tree in return. On it was a tag that said, “JAM, look at me!” Fun fact: JAM is the nickname he gave her. It will be the new initials once they’re officially married. As he got down on one knee, “I felt like I was a deer in headlights,” Jocelyn said. Following the proposal, there was also surprise fireworks too! Read more here if you want to find out what the enagement ring looks like.

Can you guess where these two lovebirds got engaged? During an afternoon hike at Scott’s Run Nature Preserve overlooking the Potomac River. “Brian kept getting ahead of me on the trail until he decided to take a break atop an oversized rock,” Caitlin said. “I was hesitant at first to climb (more like crawl) to get to it, but he was adamant.” It was no surprise that their engagement session took place near the water too.  “Fun fact: The Chesapeake Maritime Museum is right next door to the Inn at Perry Cabin where The Wedding Crashers was filmed,” she said.
