DC Brides! Brace yourself and get your running/cheer shoes on! Filene’s Basement’s Running of the Brides® is having a spring edition, and we’re going to be there to help you find your dream wedding dress!
Remember to arrive EARLY, and we mean EARLY. Lines will start forming the night before as brides-to-be camp out with their teams. Also make sure to look for us as we come say hi through the line – we’ll have lots of goodies, including $249.00 gift cards for the teams with the best Running of the Brides® cheers! When the WeddingWire team arrived early this morning to set up for Running of the Brides® at Filene’s Basement, the sun had not come up, and yet the line was around the entire block. At about 5:55am a man unzips his tent and peers out to see a huge line that has formed behind him. He was the second person in line.
Running of the Brides® is always one of our favorite events to attend because the excitement and energy from the brides is contagious. Take the emotional roller-coaster a bride goes through when she walks into the first bridal salon to find the “perfect dress” and multiply that by 400.
If you missed out on this year’s epic event, here are a few of the videos and photos we captured from the morning. Luckily we all made it out unscathed, barely though…this crowd was fierce!
