When you’re shopping for a wedding gown, you obviously should choose a style that fits and flatters your figure, but it’s also so important to think about the season when your wedding will take place. You’re going to be in your gown for the whole day, so you certainly want to feel comfortable and confident. We selected an ideal gown for each season from Allure Bridals and shared some of our top tips for finding a seasonally-appropriate wedding dress.

Spring: We love the look of lace for a spring wedding – it’s so romantic, and the floral motif feels so apropos when everything is in bloom. Allure Couture Style C265 (pictured top, left), features lace throughout, a crystal sash for some added glam, and - 0ur favorite detail – a tiered, ruffled skirt that moves beautifully in the springtime breeze.
Summer: When it’s hot outside, think lightweight fabrics, like chiffon, which will keep you cool and comfortable. Allure Bridals’ Style 9057 (top, right) is ideal for a summer wedding – and we love how versatile it is. It’s ethereal and airy silhouette would look gorgeous at an outdoor wedding on the beach, but it’s sparkly embroidery and beading keeps it formal enough for a ballroom wedding.
Fall: For fall, we often hear the words “rustic” and “natural” when it comes to gowns, but we think that vintage glamour fits the season just as well. Allure Couture’s C264 (bottom, left) features leaf-and-vine-themed beaded embroidery (so ideal!) and a flattering v-neckline. Plus, the English net fabrication keeps this slip dress lightweight enough for those warmer early-fall days.
Winter: Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you need to wear a gown with sleeves (you can always don a fur wrap for outdoor photos – so chic!). We love how the silvery crystal and pearl beading on Allure Couture’s Style C271 (bottom right) resembles falling snow. And the illusion neckline provides a bit more coverage than a strapless gown.

Like destination weddings, destination bachelorette parties are becoming more and more popular – and for good reason. What could be more fun than taking a trip with your best girlfriends to celebrate your upcoming nuptials? We asked Marsha-Ann Brown, Director of Romance for Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts for her best tips on planning the ultimate girls’ getaway.
What factors should bridesmaids consider when choosing a location for a destination bachelorette party?
With friends and family spread all over, sometimes picking a location for a bachelorette party that’s on neutral territory makes the most sense. For example, if your cousins are from New York and your college friends from Texas, you might decide to meet somewhere like Atlantic City, or you might even invite everyone to jet off to an exotic location like South America or the Caribbean. Also, keep in mind the interests of the bride. Does she love to shop, sight see, party non-stop, or relax? Pick a destination that offers the activities and attractions you know she will enjoy most. Budget can also be a big factor in determining what works best for everyone, and a helpful hint is to keep the weather at the destination in mind when picking a location.

After months of experiencing the excitement, exhaustion, and stress that comes with planning a wedding, escape to the Caribbean – a perfect honeymoon location with none of the hassle and all the fun. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or an action-packed adventure, the Caribbean has it all! Check out just a few reasons why the Caribbean is a great honeymoon spot:
1) Romance & Luxury
The Caribbean offers scenic settings highlighted by azure blue waters and white sandy beaches, creating an ambience that embodies true romance. Whether you and your loved one are strolling on the beach, watching the sunset or just relaxing under a canopy of stars sipping champagne, your experience in the Caribbean will be one of your fondest memories. Something as simple as dining under the moonlight or as extravagant as a candlelit private meal in a lavish suite gives you the chance to unwind from months of wedding planning stress.
2) Island Hopping
One of the greatest advantages of honeymooning in the Caribbean is the proximity and accessibility to many islands. Each island has its own personality, history and way of life that can be easily experienced with a quick boat ride or flight. Hike through tropical foliage in Jamaica, wonder at the stunning blue waters of the Bahamas, or experience the wonders of Mother Nature on more secluded islands such as Antigua and St. Lucia.

Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya (Mexico)
From the Bride: The wedding celebration started when 100 of our family and closest friends arrived at Zoëtry in the Riviera Maya. Thursday’s Festivities included a BBQ, Bonfire, and Fire Dancers on the beach after dark. The setting for the Rehearsal dinner was arranged in a beautiful hacienda and garden with peacocks, monkeys, horses and more. Guests were greeted by a 10 person Mariachi Band, margaritas and they were entertained by a Mexican horse show followed by a traditional Mexican cuisine, including the best tres leches in Mexico. The wedding took place under a full moon on Cinco de Mayo starting with a late afternoon beach ceremony to a cocktail reception and dinner around the Zoëtry pool, key lime pie for dessert, fireworks on the beach to the LED disco dance floor and a DJ that kept everyone dancing until 2 am. The wedding was planned as a celebration and an occasion for our guests to have an entertaining and unique experience.
