In honor of the 4th of July holiday tomorrow, I thought we should feature a patriotic inspiration board today. Nothing says summer in America like a red, white and blue color palette!

Now I may be a bit partial to this theme as my husband is in the Navy, but I really love the combination of navy blue and yellow. If you are planning a spring or summer wedding near the water, keep this in mind! There are so many fun accents you could use to dress up your day. The lighthouse cake might be a bit overboard (pun intended), but you could use fresh blueberries and yellow flowers on a white cake to subtly tie in the theme!

I have come to love the inspiration boards at Snippet & Ink, especially this pistachio and cream board. These colors would be wonderful for a spring garden wedding. Depending on your style, you can dress this color pallete up with an accent of copper or bronze or keep it casual. As it is, the soft shades have a calming effect, which is always a plus on the wedding day!
