WeddingWire is excited to unveil our new online Save-the-Dates! In partnership with pingg.com, we now offer a FREE and easy way to inform your guests of the big day!

This new feature offers engaged couples yet another tool to simplify the wedding planning process. pingg’s invitation creation and event management platform allows users to customize their announcements, add event details (like Google Maps), attach a link to their registry, and upload personal photos. With pingg, users can send invitations and announcements via email, Web, social networks, mobile text and print (pingg will print, stamp & mail) all at the same time to part or all of the guest list.

Choose from stylish WeddingWire templates like the ones below:

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a few wedding-related ways to support the cause:

1. Wedding Favors-There are many favor/gift companies that will give a portion of their proceeds to support breast cancer research. The Republic of Tea has created Sip for the Cure, a special collection of Pink Green Teas, while the team at Mars has developed the My M&Ms Promise Blend, both benefitting Susan G. Komen For the Cure.

2. Wedding Registry-Give a Pink Gift! KitchenAid presents Cook for the Cure, a line of cookware to beneift Susan G. Komen For the Cure. Don’t worry, the men will learn to love pink in the kitchen!

Maria at {ritzy bee} showcased Couture Maps in her blog and I thought they were so cute. I love the idea of adding these personalized maps in your welcome baskets. What a fun way to show your guests around the city!

Charitable Registry

dollar sign carabiner keychain l, wedding guestsAlready have a crock pot and a set of wine glasses? Consider registering for charity!

Through the I Do Foundation, you can easily create an online donation registry to support multiple charities. Your guests search for your name, choose a charity from your list, then choose their amount! Your guests get a tax write-off and you get warm fuzzies. It’s a win-win!

Another great site is ChangingThePresent, which can be used for any gift-giving occasion. You can also learn about a specific charity by checking out GuideStar.
