Besides being delicious, fruit can add a decorative touch to your wedding as well! The vibrant colors will match or accent just about any color palette and, in some cases, may be a lot cheaper than flowers! As you can see in the photos above, fruits can be used in centerpieces, as cake toppers, in beverages, or as placecards and favors. Be creative. Who doesn’t love an edible decoration?!

Do you ever get tired of the same old Thanksgiving dinner? Well, try something new this year - minis! I saw this at GlamDish this morning and I love it! I would never think to have a cocktail style Thanksgiving, but these mini turkey sandwiches on pumpkin scones and sweet potato fries made me think otherwise!
Having a Thanksgiving or Fall themed wedding? These would be great passed hors d’ oeuvres!
Are you planning an unconventional Thanksgiving dinner this year?

Having a Halloween Party or a Halloween-themed wedding? Well, the folks at Martha Stewart Living have dreamed up (actually, it may have been a nightmare!) some scary treats for your event. This is the perfect time to get creative with your food!

And, just because I can, I have included a photo of my dog in a Halloween costume. Doesn’t he look thrilled?! Don’t worry, I took it off right after the photo was taken!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Why not let your guests scream for ice cream at your wedding reception? Marble Slab Creamery will bring this tasty treat to your party in the form of a sundae bar or even a portable “slab.” Your guests will love being able to create their own desserts and bring out their inner child.

Add a new twist to your favorite cocktails! GlamDish has found a way to make your beverages a little more exciting with a few interesting garnish ideas. This is a great way to incorporate your theme into your cocktail hour. You could find (or DIY) a cute swizzle stick or charm in your wedding colors or with your monogram. Maybe a signature cocktail with a fun garnish is just the thing you need to spice up your wedding reception!
Are you including a signature drink at your wedding?

I love this idea from Martha Stewart Weddings! What a perfect way to sweeten up your coffee bar - add a mini doughnut! A fun variation on the typical reception pick-me-up, enjoy a cappuccino and a sweet treat to cap off the party. I figure this is just one more idea to complicate your decision process! (You’ll thank me later)
I’ve attended a few weddings recently with unique dessert ideas. It’s always nice to see something new! Do you have any fun ideas for a dessert/coffee bar?
