It’s official! Congratulations to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi who were married on Saturday, August 16th at their home in Los Angeles. The two, both wearing Zac Posen, finally exchanged vows in front of close family and friends. Best wishes to the happy couple!
I’m pretty sure I just wrote about a shotgun wedding, but in case you need more celebrity wedding news, Jessica Alba also wed (very quietly I might add) Cash Warren this past Monday. She’s expecting her baby late spring to early summer so this was probably a good time to take care of the nuptials.
This weekend Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz secretly got married in California. With sister Jessica and boy toy Tony Present, the two quietly got hitched in what might lead some assume it was a bit of a shotgun wedding after rumors of her being pregnant surfaced in recent weeks. OK Magazine is reporting that Ashlee wore an ivory gown by Monique Lhuillier.
Jenna Bush got married this weekend to Henry Hager at her fathers 1600-acre Crawford, Texas ranch. Jenna, sporting a wedding dress by Oscar de la Renta, had her twin sister Barbara as her maid of honor. Jenna became the first daughter of a sitting president to be married in 16 years when President Bush Senior gave away his daughter Dorothy at Camp David.

This past weekend Scarlett Johanssen got engaged to fellow actor Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds was previously engaged to Alanis Morissette, but had his engagement called off. So assuming they make it to the alter, it will be the first marriage for each of them.
